REGISTRATION

 

Citizens over the age of 16 have the right to register at the National Library of Armenia, regardless of their gender, nationality, ethnic background, religious or political views, social or racial characteristics.

 

FOR REGISTRATION

 

 

YOU NEED TO:

  • have a library card that is free of charge
  • provide your passport and one photo (3X4cm) at the registration desk
  • complete the online registration form by clicking on the "Registration" button in the upper right corner of the page and filling it out. After completing the registration form, you will receive a reply to your e-mail within one working day, in which you will find useful information about registration and the username and password to access your personal account.

 

LIBRARY CARD

 

 

IS USED:

  • to have the access to the National Library of Armenia   
  • to order literature
  • to use ordered and on-shelves literature   
  • to enter the special departments of the library and use the services they provide

IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN: 

  • to give the library card to another person
  • to enter the library with someone else's card and to use library services
  • to use the library card for another purpose
  • to violate the library card

                       

                                
 

 

MANAGING YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT

 

 

The username and password given to you at the registration desk are for managing your personal account in the NLA's electronic catalog.                                
 

USING YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT YOU CAN:

  • order books online
  • see what books are currently checked-out under your name, your delays, placed holds
  • see your search history 
  • see your reading history
  • suggest to the library to purchace books missing from our collections
  • make private literature lists
  • change your password.

 

*NOTE      
 

The library card is given to a user free of charge. In case of losing the card, the user is must inform the employee of the registration desk. To restore the card, the user compensates the loss by paying 1000 AMD, in each subsequent case - 3000 AMD.
