RULES FOR THE SERVICE OF LOAN   

  1. The users of the loan are obliged to follow these rules
  2. In order become a user of the loan an agreement for the provision of loan services is signed
  3. 1-month period is set for each copy of the literature borrowed by the loan
  4. Users who fail to return the literature by the due date, will be fined 50 (fifty) AMD for each day of delay
  5. In case of violating the return dates twice, or damaging the literature, making notes or tearing pages, the right to borrow literature by loan service is suspended for a period of 6 months
  6. The users are allowed to extend the period of the literature return date for another month, if the given literature has not been requested by another user
  7. The user is responsible for each copy of literature served; when receiving the book, it is necessary to check its physical condition: the number of pages, illustrations, appendices, etc. and inform the librarian about the identified defects
  8. It is forbidden to serve newspapers, publications published before 1940, reference publications, encyclopedias, dictionaries, dissertations, single copies of the main depository, as well as reprints, books containing drawings and non-book publications
  9. The user who lost or damaged the literature served by the loan is obliged to replace the items by the same edition or other equivalent literature required by the library

 

 

PERSONAL LOAN   

• The users of the National Library of Armenia have a right to use the personal loan                                               

• The following prices are set for the personal loan service: 

  • 1 year - 10,000 (ten thousand) AMD
  • 6 months - 6000 (six thousand) AMD
  • 3 months - 3000 (three thousand) AMD
  • 1 month - 1500 (one thousand five hundred) AMD                               

• No more than 5 copies of literature can be served at the same time                                                
• People who participated in military operations in RA and AR and disabled persons are served free of charge upon presentation of the relevant document                                      
 

 

INTERNAL LOAN

• The employees of the National Library of Armenia have a right to use the internal loan

                                    
• The following price is set for the internal loan service:

  • 1 year – 3000 (three thousand) AMD 

• The employee is obliged to return all literature served by the internal loan upon dismissal                          
 • No more than 7 copies of literature can be served at the same time                            
 

 

INTERLIBRARY LOAN

• All regional and public libraries of RA and AR, legal entities, institutions, state governmental agencies, libraries of state and non-state universities (henceforth - organizations) have the right to use the interlibrary loan                                  
• An agreement for the provision of the interlibrary loan services is signed with the organization for a period of 1 year                                 
• The organization is obliged to pay the fee for interlibrary loan services:

  • Check out of literature up to 500 copies - 20000 (twenty thousand) AMD 
  • Check out of literature up to 1000 copies – 40000 (forty thousand) AMD 
  • Check out of literature up to 500 copies & digitization of literature up to 150 pages without processing (A4, 150dpi)*– 30000 (thirty thousand) AMD          
  • Check out of literature up to 1000 copies & digitization of literature up to 150 pages without processing (A4, 150dpi)*– 30000 (thirty thousand) AMD  

• The books that are missing in the collections of the National Library of Armenia and are in demand for reading are ordered and delivered from the libraries of other countries through the international interlibrary loan                    

* Note – Digitization of copyrighted materials is permitted only for personal, educational or research purposes, in accordance with Articles 14 and 15 of the RA Law “On Copyright and Related Rights”.
