The National Library of Armenia is honored to invite you to the international conference "Heritage Preservation for a Sustainable Future" dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the National Library of Armenia. The conference aims to unite the field’s leading and young professionals from around the world and serve as a platform for the exchange of international library, museum, archive, publishing and other organizations’ experience, discussion of current issues, innovative presentations, as well as the introduction of accepted international standards, management systems, technologies, and theoretical and practical processes. The National Library of Armenia hosted the "Heritage Preservation for a Sustainable Future" international library conference, which was held from September 29 to October 1 in honor of the 510th anniversary of Armenian printing. The conference served as a platform for discussion of adopted international standards, management systems, and current library issues as well as an opportunity for international library experience exchange.
The conference's participants discussed library-related digitization, innovative technologies, the adoption of international standards, and the sharing of best practices from around the world.
The conference's objectives included raising awareness of the 510th anniversary of Armenian printing, enhancing international ties of the National Library of Armenia, introducing the concept of international library-information exchange, and strengthening ties between libraries in the CIS countries.

On November 28-29, 2019, the all-Armenian conference "The role of the Armenian periodicals in the formation and preservation of the national values": family, motherland, church" was held in the National Library. It was dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the debut of the first Armenian printed periodical. The first periodical AZDARAR was published in Madras in 1794-1796, with 18 issues. 42 speakers from the Republic of Armenia, the Diaspora and the Republic of Artsakh participated and gave speeches at the conference. The articles were summarized in the conference proceedings.
