The National Library of Armenia hosted a bibliographic review and literature display in honor of Hovhannes Tumanyan's birthday and Book Giving Day. The Tamanyan Grand Exhibition Hall hosted a literary exhibition named "Tumanyan in Foreign Language Translations," which featured Tumanyan's writings translated into over thirty languages from the National Library of Armenia's holdings. Anahit Nalbandyan, Head of the Department of Bibliography and Library Studies, launched the event by discussing the significance of Book Giving Day and the extensive collection of Hovhannes Tumanyan's personal library. The Department of Bibliography and Library Studies' "Hovhannes Tumanyan. 1969" jubilee bibliography compiled by Anush Amirjanyan, Olya Aghayan, and Karine Nersisyan was the topic of discussion during the meeting.

To highlight the extent of Tumanyan's international recognition and the importance of his translation heritage, Karine Nersisyan, who is in charge of foreign literature sources, presented the geography of translations included in the manual, the difficulties of gathering and identifying foreign sources, and the painstaking work of specifying versions of the same works in various languages. She claims that the manual records the commemorations of Tumanyan's 100th anniversary, including writings on him, invitations, manifestos, programs, books released that year, and works published in periodicals and collections.

It was observed that Tumanyan's writings were translated into nearly every language of the USSR's fifteen republics during the jubilee year as part of an official initiative. Readers from all over the world can now access Tumanyan's fairy tales, poetry, verses, and quatrains in a variety of languages, including Russian, Georgian, English, French, German, Belarusian, Kazakh, Ukrainian, Kurdish, and many more.
