The Iranian Literature Corner was formally inaugurated in the National Library of Armenia's General Reading Hall as part of the collaboration between the National Library of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran's Embassy in Armenia. Khalil Shirgholami, the Islamic Republic of Iran's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, welcomed the effort and stressed the value of literature and culture in fostering intercultural understanding and friendship. The Iranian Literature Corner's creation will open up new avenues for Armenian-Iranian cultural interaction.

Deputy Minister of the Republic of Armenia for Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Alfred Kocharyan emphasized the implementation of such programs, pointing out that they support the growth of international collaboration, the popularization of cultural heritage, and the broadening of cultural discourse. Head of Armenia's National Library Anna Chulyan stated: "I can confidently say that this literature will serve its purpose, being accessible to both Iranian readers and all those who are interested in Iranian literature, culture, history, language, and civilization." As one of the key areas of our cultural cooperation, we are also prepared to assist in the restocking of the Armenian literary collection established in the National Library and Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran presented the National Library of Armenia with 293 units of literature, including encyclopedias, dictionaries, collections of scientific works, textbooks, religious literature, poetry collections, modern fiction, and other publications. Currently, there are about 650 Iranian readers registered at the National Library of Armenia, who actively use the library's services. At the same time, the collection of Iranian literature is also widely used by Armenian readers, researchers, students, lecturers and translators who study Iranian culture, literature, language, history and related fields of Oriental studies. The National Library of Armenia has a rich and diverse collection of Iranian literature, which includes books published from the 1780s to the present day. The collection includes Persian originals, Armenian translations, as well as publications translated from Armenian into Persian, reflecting the various stages of Armenian-Iranian literary and cultural interaction. The above-mentioned publications represent valuable examples of Iranian and Iranian-language printing of the 18th-19th centuries and are an integral part of the antiquarian collection of the National Library of Armenia.

The creation of the Iranian Literature Corner aims to promote Armenian-Iranian cultural and scientific-educational cooperation, ensure wider access to Iranian literature and culture, as well as contribute to the development of scientific research in the field of Iranian studies.
