Armenian-Iranian literary and cultural cooperation. Within the framework of the Yerevan International Book Festival, an Iranian delegation, led by Mohammad Asadi-Movahedi, Head of the Cultural Center of the Iranian Embassy in Armenia, paid an unofficial visit to the National Library of Armenia. The delegation included Ebrahim Heydari, general director of Iran's "House of Books and Literature" publishing house, Hossein Sabzeh, who is responsible for organizing the publishing festivals, and Morteza Barzegari, a contemporary writer.

The discussion explored potential areas of collaboration between the National Library of Armenia and Iranian partner institutions, as well as opportunities for extending cooperation. The implementation of joint programs, mutual translation initiatives, organization of other professional events, as well as opportunities for exchange of experience in the fields of literature and cultural heritage were touched upon.

During the visit, the delegation members visited the Main Reading Room of the Library, got acquainted with the activities and collection of the recently opened Iranian Literature Corner, and also met with Iranian users of the library. The prospect of supplementing the Iranian Literature Corner with new publications and modern Iranian literature was discussed. The gathering gave us another chance to emphasize the importance of books and literature in the growth of Armenian-Iranian cultural dialog, deepening professional ties, and defining new areas of collaboration.
