շThe National Library of Armenia and the “Cilicia” Matenadaran of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia have a decades-long history of cooperation, united by a shared mission to preserve, study, and promote Armenian written heritage. Recently, His Eminence Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian, the librarian of the “Cilicia” Matenadaran of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia, visited the National Library. During his visit, in keeping with an established tradition, Archbishop Shahan donated a number of valuable Armenian studies publications to the Library. These publications will enrich the Library’s collections and become accessible to readers and researchers.

It should be recalled that in 2021, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between the National Library of Armenia and the “Cilicia” Matenadaran of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia. The memorandum provides for the organization of joint exhibitions and conferences, the exchange of digital copies of Armenian books and periodicals, reciprocal visits by specialists, the implementation of digitization projects, and the development of joint online initiatives.
