On July 18, ANC "Vedi Community Library" librarians paid a working and study visit to the National Library of Armenia. Our guests visited the Printing Museum for the first time, where they learned with great interest about the more than 510-year history of Armenian book printing. A tour for librarians around the National Library was conducted by Haykanush Ghazaryan, Deputy Director of the National Library of Armenia for Scientific Work. She presented the history of the founding of the library and the formation of funds, the path that the library has taken. A lively discussion took place on issues of libraries, specifically public libraries.

Heads from the public relations, digitization, and publishing departments then met with the group and presented their work. Anitsa Genjyan, an employee of the book exchange department, gave a practical report for public librarians on the topic of creating a database of small library collections using Microsoft Excel.  

Recently, the National Library's relationships with community libraries in distinct areas have strengthened. The National Library of Armenia values such partner visits, library contacts and cooperation.
