On July 9-12, the International Armenological Congress was held at the Matenadaran named after Mesrop Mashtots, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia and the Committee on Higher Education and Science of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
The Congress brought together dozens of leading scientists from various prestigious universities, research centers around the world, as well as representatives of spiritual and manuscript structures. The primary objective of the Congress was to foster the development of modern directions in Armenian studies, promote scientific collaborations, and apply innovative approaches in the field of science. Anna Chulyan, Director of the National Library of Armenia, delivered a report at the Congress on the topic "The Collections of the National Library of Armenia and Their Contribution to the Development of Armenian Studies".
The extensive collections of ancient and unique funds, periodicals, and other valuable materials of the National Library of Armenia were presented, which serve as an important source for Armenian studies in various scientific directions: linguistics, history, literary studies, and cultural studies.
