On January 24, 2018, the United Nations declared International Education Day, celebrating the role of education in achieving peace and sustainable development in the world. By proclaiming the International Day of Education, UN member states recognized the importance of ensuring inclusive and equal education at all levels, ensuring access to lifelong learning, and acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary for full participation in society.  

 Libraries have an important role to play in supporting educational institutions as well as providing lifelong learning to people. On the eve of the International Day of Education, the National Library of Armenia hosted a presentation of four books entitled “Education Management”, dedicated to legislative regulation and ensuring the quality of education, financing and the basics of management of vocational education. On the occasion of International Education Day, the director of the National Library of Armenia, Anna Chulyan, greeted those gathered. Acting UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Nanna Skau delivered a welcoming speech to the authors of the books and participants of the event. 

 All six authors of the book took part in the event, presenting their joint works. The first collection of books was donated to the National Library by the authors, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, dean of the International Scientific and Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences Atom Mkhitaryan. Soon, a batch of four books will be transferred to all regional libraries through the National Library.
