The National Library of Armenia has provided a course “Cybertraffic and Cybersecurity” within the framework of cooperation with the AMKOR Armenia charitable foundation. The course was conducted by Victoria Avakova, an expert in combating human trafficking in Armenia, and Samvel Martirosyan, an IT security specialist and media expert. Victoria Avakova spoke about the types of human trafficking and noted that, regardless of their will, men, women, and children of any age and social status can become victims of such a crime.
Samvel Martirosyan presented how to use social networks correctly, avoid hacking, and not be deceived. Experts gave several real examples and noted that fraud occurs from non-compliance with the most basic rules and from lack of information. According to experts, it is necessary to think through and weigh any situation and not act on the fear factor, deliberately disseminating personal data through social networks.
At the end of the meeting, a question-and-answer session took place. It was clear that the topic attracted the attention of the participants. Such courses enable people to become more vigilant, avoid scams, and be careful in media.
