The National Library of Armenia is responsible for completing the digitization of Armenian and Armenian literature published worldwide from Hakob Meghapart to our times within the next five years. An essential component of that program is digitizing the Armenian periodical press. Anna Chulyan, director of the National Library, began her speech at the presentation of the electronic version of "Yerekoyan Yerevan" newspaper at the "Hay Press" repository.

The provision of digital access to the content of the Armenian press recorded significant successes since 2022, when the National Library received a gift from the company "Portmind" for the identification program of digitized Armenian texts.

In the previous two years, the library presented to the public "Mshak" (Tbilisi), "Garun", "Literary newspaper", "Avangard", "Bazmevep" (Venice), "Handes Amsorea" (Vienna), "Bagin" (Beirut), the fully digitized and indexed repositories of Hayrenik (Boston), Zion (Jerusalem) and many other periodicals. Each of these periodicals is accessible to the researcher in every corner of the world and greatly facilitates the work of the periodical press researcher.
