The following books by three female authors talk about lived and unlived days, familiar and unfamiliar events, and fates of four women, tell old and new stories of Yerevan and take to the poetic journeys along different trajectories.

In 2024, with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Armenia, the novels by Karine Khodikyan (Return to the Past), Alisa Hovhannisyan (The Age of Aghas and After), as well as a collection of poems by Anahit Kazakhetsyan the Growing Heart will be published in Armenian and English with the coordination of the National Library of Armenia within the framework of the grant program “Support for Creators, Researchers and Translators”.

The novel The Age of Aghas and After is about the author’s native Nor Aresh district with autobiographical elements. “The novel is lively and touching, first of all, thanks to the author’s gift for retelling. The author does not imitate, but relives the life he describes...", the editor emphasized in the preface to the book.

The masterfully intertwined stories of Return to the Past are "dramatic as truth, unpredictable and fabulous as fiction". "Finally, having finished a seemingly endless sentence, I leaned back in my chair, staring at the text on the computer screen, took a cigarette out of the pack, brought a lighter... no, I will not smoke... the light is on in my room, this is normal, I always work at this time..." - an image familiar to all creators, isn't it?

The Growing Heart is the second collection of poems by the young writer, the translation of which into English was done by the author herself. The poems contain "geography, myths, maps, airports...", as well as "memories from past lives, shapes and descriptions of silence, spells, thorns and flowers, and a growing heart, full and filled with all of this." Just like our life.
