Bakunts’ wonderful world is now available to the Macedonian reader. With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia and the participation of the National Library of Armenia, Bakunts’ brilliant stories were translated and published in Macedonian within the framework of the grant program “Armenian Literature in Translation”. In addition to the story of the same name, the collection Alpine Violet presented the Macedonians with works such as Mtnadzor, Lar-Margar, Andzrev, The Humble Girl, Mirhav, The White Horse, Köres, Khachatur Abovyan, and others.

The National Library of Armenia celebrated the 125th anniversary of Aksel Bakunts with a reading marathon. These works and other books by the writer were read throughout the country. It is pleasant to realize that in the anniversary year of Bakunts, they are also performing in another language. It should be noted that The Eye of Enoch by Gurgen Khanjyan, Four Years in the Mountains of Kurdistan by Aram Haykaz, The Cat of Jesus by Grieg, The Sun of Gemini by Hrachya Saribekyan, Bank Osman by Aleksandar Topchyan were translated from Armenian into Macedonian for the first time in the last five years.
