On August 31, 2023, at the Tamanyan Grand Exhibition Hall of the National Library of Armenia, an exhibition was opened dedicated to the birthday of a great Armenian-American writer William Saroyan. The exhibition included his works, books, and periodicals about him, and exclusive photo albums. 

The exhibition features Saroyan's first book, “The Daring Young Man on the Flying Trapeze” (1934), and other books up to the last one, published during his lifetime in 1979. The exhibition also displays many other valuable editions in English, the libretto of the musical “The Human Comedy”, translations of Saroyan’s books into German, French, Turkish, Romanian, Latvian, and Russian, books with writer’s autographs, letters, and other materials. 

 
 Zaven Boyajian, one of the most prolific contemporary translators of Saroyan into Armenian, praised the exhibition and, having learned that the National Library had the original Saroyan books he needed, said that he would gladly take them to work for on future translations. The exhibition will be available until September 25, 2023.
