In ancient Armenia, August was the first month of the year and was called Navasard. The Armenian year, marked by the victory of Hayk, began on August 11. The National Library of Armenia has selected some books on the theme of summer days and new beginnings in life.

The “August in Literature” exhibition is intended for all readers looking for interesting authors and books for summer reading. The video shows books by Anush Sargsyan, Hrant Matevosyan, Francis Scott Fitzgerald, Khaled Hosseini, Jules Verne, Javier Marias, Guy de Maupassant, Stendhal and other authors. As they say, for every taste!. Take your favorite book from the library and fill the August days with summer reading. Remember that books are our best friends, they give us new ideas, dreams and memories.
