On June 12, 2023, Dr. Nora Arisyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Republic of Armenia visited the National Library of Armenia. Philosopher, writer, translator, and orientalist Nora Arisyan has been developing Armenian-Syrian relations for many years. Her merits were highly appreciated by the authorities of the Republic of Armenia. The Ambassador is the author of about a dozen books in Armenian and Arabic.  
Nora Arisyan is the first Armenian woman elected to the legislative body of the Syrian Arab Republic. During the conversation, Anna Chulyan and Nora Arisyan discussed the programs of cultural cooperation and book exchange between the National Library of Armenia and the libraries of Syria. Particular attention was paid to the processes of digitalization of periodicals.  
In the near future, the National Library will be given Armenian literature in Arabic. The Ambassador also kindly promised to give a public lecture in the library this autumn.
