In the monthly lists of the most used fiction books in the public libraries of Armenia, there are fixed and movable parts. In fact, books of the stationary part move most often. They are our classic authors, whose works are included in educational programs, and therefore they serve the readers the most.

More intriguing and unpredictable is the movable part of the list. Every month, new names and new authors appear in the lists of the most popular books, whose books beat Armenian and world classic writers. These authors sometimes shine like a star and pass through the sky of literature. Some books stay longer in library dozens. There are also books that, after a long period of silence and being forgotten in the library shelves, are "revived" again by the will of the readers.

Raffu's "Crazy" and "Samvel", Totovents' novel "Life on the Ancient Roman Road", Shirvanzade's "Chaos", Maharu's "Childhood" and "Adolescence", Nar Dos' "The Killed Dove" and short stories are in high demand among all readers. Among the most requested books by foreign authors are "1984" by George Orwell, "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Brontë, "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini, "Interruptions of Death" by Jose Saramagu, "Steppenwolf" by Herman Hesse, "My Genius Friend" by Elena Ferrante, Alex Michaelidis, Remarque, Agatha Christie's novels.

This month, all 10 regional libraries, city libraries of Spitak and Stepanavan, community libraries of Vedi, as well as libraries named after Isahakyan of Yerevan and Charles Aznavour of Ajapnyak participated in the compilation of the ten most requested fiction books of the Republic.
