This year, the National Library of Armenia acquired Julien Zarifian’s book The United States and the Armenian Genocide: History, Memory and Politics printed by the American publishing house Rutgers University Press.

The author explains how and why it was only in 2021 that the Washington administration officially recognized the Armenian Genocide committed by Ottoman Turkey in 1915. Julien Zarifian teaches history at the University of Poitiers (France). He is an author of two books in French and numerous scientific articles on the Armenian Genocide.
