On January 20, a public event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the famous Armenian literary scholar and writer of the Diaspora Grigor Pltyan was held in the Art Hall of the National Library of Armenia.

Siranush Dvoyan, PhD in Philology, Chairperson of the Language Committee of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of Armenia, spoke at the event. She touched upon Pltyan’s literary heritage and creative path, his role in the development of modern Armenian literature. It is known that Grigor Pltyan, participating and acting in European literary and literary studies processes, always maintained ties with domestic literary scholars. Over the past two decades, Pltyan has mainly published his books in Yerevan.

The event noted Pltyan’s significant literary contribution, who has been passing on his endless love and knowledge of literature to the younger generation of researchers for many years. On the occasion of the anniversary, the Public Relations Department prepared a rich exhibition of the literary scholar’s books.

The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with the participation of literature and history lovers.
