This year, the Chinese New Year is celebrated on January 29. The Chinese New Year is the most important holiday in the Chinese lunar calendar. It is symbolic that today the collection of the National Library has been replenished with 22 works of Chinese literature on Armenian authors, Armenian culture, Art, and Armenology. The books were donated to the library by its friend and supporter Ji Guoqing.
On October 29, 2024, Ji Guoqing, participating in the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, contributed to the enrichment of the library's Chinese collection.
Today, in the Chinese corner of the main reading room of the library, Director Anna Chulyan and Ji Guoqing placed the donation. The donated books include the epic David of Sassoun, History of the Armenians by Movses Khorenatsi, Vakhtang Ananyan's novel On the Shores of Sevan, Armenian Folk Tales, etc.
Books create unique bridges between nations. Books help us better understand the world around us and our friends.
