In the public libraries of Armenia, books from the May top ten were read from 22 to 41 times. All these books are included in the top lists of 2-4 libraries. Khaled Hosseini's The Kite Runner is most often found on the libraries’ top lists of various regions. Agatha Christie, the queen of detective stories, is represented with nine books. Readers continue to give preference to the novels by Erich Maria Remarque, three of which appear again on the library lists. Marquez, Dumas, and Alex Michaelides are also represented there, each one with two books.

There are about 25 classic and contemporary Armenian authors on the top lists of district libraries. Axel Bakunts, Grigor Zokhrap, Shirvanzade, Charents, Gurgen Makhari, and many others are often included in libraries’ top ten lists thanks to school and university programs. Among the most requested books are The Killed Dove by Nar-Dos, Baku, and Life On the Old Roman Road by Vaan Totovents, Dad, You Went Down With Your Mind by William Saroyan, Hours of Your Life and Tsar' Pope by Stepan Zoryan and the historical novel Chaos by Alexander Shirvanzade.

Top-list includes five novels by Ashot Agababyan, who is among the ten best contemporary Armenian writers. Among the books by Gohar Navasardyan, the most popular novels are Lost Moments and After Love, while Mane Martirosyan is represented by two books — Girl In a Dress With a Dress and Chasing Running Clouds.  It is interesting how the top ten lists in libraries of Armenia are going to change during the summer months. In summer, we expect to see books recently released by publishers, and works by young writers.
