Armenian historian, director of the Armenian Evangelical College in Beirut (since 1967) Zaven Msirlyan made a valuable gift to the National Library of Armenia. Msirlian was educated in Armenian schools in Beirut and Tripoli, then took history courses at the American University of Beirut. Received the titles of Master of Arts (1959) and Master of Arts (1963).

On May 23, 2014, by decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia, Msirlyan was awarded the medal. Movses Khorenatsi. The National Library of Armenia signed a cooperation agreement with Zaven Msirlyan. The books under his care will soon be available in digital versions through the library's electronic catalogue.
