On February 24, in the circular hall on the second floor of the Tamanyan building of the National Library of Armenia, a public lecture titled "Teaching Armenian Language and Literature Today" was held in honor of Mother Language Day.

The speaker was Arsen Vardanyan, a lecturer at Yerevan State University, teacher, and co-author of Armenian literature textbooks and manuals for 7th and 8th grades. Vardanyan first shared his views on the goals and principles of education, then engaged the audience in a discussion about various aspects of teaching Armenian language and literature in schools today. He also addressed modern challenges, particularly the role of artificial intelligence as the primary challenge in education.

The event was attended by teachers, librarians, literary scholars, and a group of 11th-grade students from the "Global Bridge" educational complex, who had come to hear their teacher’s lecture.

Arsen Vardanyan answered numerous questions from the audience and explained the selection and presentation methods used in the literature textbooks he co-authored.

At the end of the event, the students toured the Tamanyan building of the library, visiting the general reading hall and the exhibition hall dedicated to the history of the National Library.
