The National Library of Armenia is still working steadily to help librarians become more media literate. Eleven librarians attended a three-day training program called "Media Literacy Librarian" at the NLA from December 3–5. Armine Vardanyan, Head of the NLA's Public Relations Department, led the training. This project creates a professional setting where information experts are able to successfully navigate today's complicated media world in addition to mastering traditional library functions.

Fact-checking, personal data protection, source verification, and safe online conduct were the main topics of discussion. In addition to examining how conspiracy theories affect the formation of public opinion, participants viewed a themed film that offered a chance to evaluate the instruments of media influence.

This program, which highlights that libraries are not just places to store and distribute information but also venues for promoting media literacy and enhancing the public's capacity for education, is a significant step in reevaluating the role of the contemporary librarian. Librarians received certificates of participation in the training session at its conclusion.
