In July 2026, the most popular books in libraries were novels by Armenian classical and modern writers. Aksel Bakunts, Raffi, Alexander Shirvanzade, Stepan Zoryan and Vahan Totovents were the most read authors. Among modern writers, the top ten included novels by Ruben Yesayan and Ashot Aghababyan. Aghababyan’s novel “The Cardinal” immediately “won” the sympathy of Yerevan readers. We can confidently say that the high rates of service of novels and short stories by Armenian classical writers indicate that schoolchildren conscientiously fulfill the assignments given by their teachers during the holidays. Among the most frequently found authors in dozens of libraries are Rafael Margaryan's "Wait for Me in Heaven," Charlotte Bronte's "Jane Eyre," Mark Levy's "What If It Were True," Nicholas Sparks' "Counting Miracles," and William Saroyan's "Pomegranates" and "The Human Comedy."

Motivational novels have become increasingly popular in Armenian libraries in recent years. The book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Japanese-American businessman, author, and educator Robert Kiyosaki is the most widely distributed non-fiction book in six state regional libraries as of July 2026, according to library data. "The Art of Loving" by Erich Fromm, "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, "I Can Read Your Mind" by Joe Navarro, and "The Power of Mind" by John Kehoe are also in great demand.
