Today, when communication and information technologies have penetrated all spheres of public life and dictate new methods of organizing work, librarians face new challenges. Automation of library processes, the use of new service methods requires new skills from library employees.

On September 16-18, experienced employees of the National Library of Armenia held a three-day course on “Development and training of professional skills of librarians” in the Kapan Electronic Library for about 30 librarians of the Kapan Club and Library Association.

Over three days, library specialists held working discussions on modern electronic resources, inventory of literature and creation of electronic databases, Google environment for libraries, library work on social platforms, innovative methods of organizing events, legislative regulation of library work and other topics, which were conducted remotely via ZOOM connection.

All participants of the course received certificates of participation from the National Library. Working relationships have been established between the teachers and participants, which will help to continue interlibrary communications and apply knowledge in practice.
