“When you write, it is important to build action, this helps to maintain the interest of readers” Ruben Yesayan. Today, June 10, a meeting was held at the National Library of Armenia with Ruben Yesayan, a modern writer, and author of two books.

Ruben Yesayan presented his literary path, and talked about the characters of his books, the complexity of book publishing, and the problems a modern author faces. The event was organized in a question-and-answer format. After the opening remarks by the head of the library’s public relations department, Nerses Hayrapetyan, Yesayan answered dozens of questions. The questions were related to writing technique and choice of topics. He listed the names of writers whose works inspired him to take up literature: Agatha Christie, Edgar Allan Poe, Stephen King.

Speaking about the role and value of the book as a whole, Yesayan emphasized that the book must definitely give something to the reader, form a system of values. His sincerity and directness were conveyed to the mostly young girls gathered in the hall, some of whom also worked in different genres and experimented with literature. At the end of the event, Ruben Yesayan signed books and talked with young readers, advising the guests to become readers of the National Library.
