As part of the "New Generation" program, Arevik Khachatryan, a specialist in the Public Relations Department of the National Library of Armenia, Marina Sahakyan, a specialist in the External Relations Department, and Anahit Najaryan, a first-class librarian, participated in the international seminar-program "Educational Cooperation of Libraries of CIS Member States" from October 14 to October 19. The seminar's objectives were to advance professional experience sharing among CIS libraries, enhance management and communication abilities, and expand understanding of conflict prevention and effective resolution. In order to enhance professional communication, the participants took part in team games, practical discussions, and lectures.
Throughout the course, different conflict behavior strategies were examined, objective and subjective aspects of conflicts were examined, and a creative group game called "Create Your Library" was played, which resulted in the development of novel library models and service concepts. The State Library of Russia, the CIS Federal Agency, and the Eurasian Library Assembly organized the seminar.
As part of the program, the participants also went to the Ivan Turgenev Library-Reading Hall and the Russian State Youth Library to learn about their creative methods and work experience. At the conclusion of the event, preliminary agreements were made regarding the implementation of joint programs and the strengthening of cooperation between libraries in the Republic of Armenia and several CIS countries.
