On July 18, the head of the European Union delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Vasilis Maragos visited the National Library of Armenia. The ambassador was met and given a tour of the library building by the library director Anna Chulyan.

His acquaintance with the library began at the Printing Museum, where the Ambassador became acquainted with the history of Armenian book printing. The Ambassador also visited the recently opened exhibition hall of the library's history. Following the visit, the library director presented the current and future plans of the National Library and discussed areas of possible cooperation, including organizing training for librarians, inviting European specialists to the library and information field, etc.
