The map shows books that were included in the top-ten most popular fiction books in the regional libraries of Armenia in January 2023. Two authors appear there more often — Alex Michaelidis and Agatha Christie. Readers of the Aragatsotn and Armavir regions most often ask for the novels The Maidens and The Silent Patient by the British writer of Cypriot origin Alex Michaelides. The Silent Patient is the first novel by Michaelides. In 2019, this book ranked second in sales at the Amazon online bookstore. The Maidens is a psychological detective story about serial murders at Cambridge University. Michaelides's novels also appeared in the top tens of district libraries of Ararat, Lori, and Vayots Dzor.

The most popular author is the Queen of detective stories Agatha Christie. Her books appear at top-10s of nine district libraries. In the regional libraries of Gegarkunik, Tavush, Vayots Dzor, Aragatsotn regions Agatha Christie is represented by more than one book, and in Kotayk region even by four editions. Murder on the Golf Course is at the top in Kotayk, and Murder on the Orient Express is at the top in Shirak. Readers line up in advance to read books by American writers — The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, as well as The Amazing Story of Peter Schlemihl by German writer Adelbert von Chamisso.

Armenian writers became the leading authors in the lists of three regions. Residents of Syun prefer Stepan Zoryan's collection of stories, and in Vayots Dzore the most popular book is Vardges Petrosyan's The Last Teacher. The novels of contemporary writer Gohar Navasardyan are included into the lists of Aragatsotn, Ararat, Lori, Shirak, and Tavush regions, and her novel After Love is the most popular in Ararat region.
