Today, February 19, on the birthday of the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan, all of Armenia is also celebrating Book Giving Day. As always, the National Library of Armenia has organized a series of events dedicated to this literary celebration, including the traditional "Book Wheel" initiative.

On the occasion of Book Giving Day, the National Library receives numerous book donations from benefactors and friends of the library while also acting as a donor itself.

At the library’s entrance, books carefully selected as gifts by the library were placed on the Book Wheel, finding their new readers throughout the day.

The Book Wheel features books donated to the library by individuals over the past year, specifically those for which the library already has more than enough copies. A librarian on duty is present to answer readers’ questions. The Book Wheel will be available throughout the day.
