If you remember, at the beginning of the month, employees of the Stepanavan City Library visited the National Library of Armenia. Last week, Advisor to the Director of the National Library Nerses Hayrapetyan and Head of the Book Popularization Department Armine Vardanyan were sent to Lori region to provide methodological and consulting assistance to the staff of the Stepanavan City Library.

In the near future, with the support of the Jinishyan Foundation and the UN Office in Armenia, the library will acquire new computers, library furniture and popular literature. The library is preparing to introduce new programs and new approaches to its readers. During three days of joint work, the foundations for the formation of an electronic reference book for the city library were laid. Librarians discussed library work and innovative programs.

Nerses Hayrapetyan led an in-depth analysis of the story The Giving Tree by the American writer Shel Silvestein with child readers of the library. During the next meeting, plans for further cooperation with the library were discussed with Arayik Manukyan, founder of the first Armenian cultural YouTube channel webtv.am, editor-in-chief of the ARMENIANS media platform thearmenians.am, as well as with Gagik Shirmazyan, adviser to the mayor of Stepanavan.
