Alexander Myasnikyan's 140th Anniversary with a Public Lecture and Exhibition

A public lecture dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the state and political figure Alexander Myasnikyan was held at the National Library of Armenia. In parallel with the event, a thematic literature exhibition was opened, where publications about the life, social and political activities were presented. In his introductory remarks, Narine Gevorgyan, Head of the General Reading Room at the National Library of Armenia, emphasized Alexander Myasnikyan's important contribution to the social, political, and cultural life of the Armenian people. She further mentioned that the National Library of Armenia was named after Alexander Myasnikyan from 1925 to 1990.

In his lecture, Professor Edik Minasyan, a doctor of historical sciences, described Alexander Myasnikyan's life and varied interests in great detail. The speaker discussed his literary and cultural interests, his social and political actions, and his important role in the advancement of Armenian culture and education. Important episodes of Myasnikyan's state activities and the historical value of his legacy were also presented. The exhibition is scheduled to run through June 1.
