The 2026 National Library Week program included a successful annual reading marathon. This year, we read "Armenian Sketches," a collection of essays by Vardges Petrosyan.

The marathon was attended by readers and librarians from over forty-five regional and local libraries. Mark Grigoryan, Arayik Manukyan, Karine Khodikyan, Armen Darbinyan, Anush Sargsyan, Diana Hambardzumyan, Arqmenik Nikoghosyan, Ashot Galstyan, Seyranuhi Geghamyan, Vardges Petrosyan's daughter Armine Petrosyan, and several other writers, journalists, and public personalities joined the reading.

For over seven hours, the marathon was streamed for more than 7 hours live on the NLA YouTube channel, bringing together readers from all across Armenia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cx_ITuSABpc We would like to remind you that since 2016, reading marathons have been a feature of National Library Week in Armenia.
