A new collection titled "Perspectives on Armenian Philology: Contemporary Issues in Research and Teaching" (Yerevan; Los Angeles: Girk Publishing; Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, 2025, 247 pages) has been published. It compiles the proceedings of the 2024 international conference held at the National Library of Armenia in July.
The first "Perspectives on Armenian Philology" international conference was organized by the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America in collaboration with the National Library of Armenia. It gathered distinguished and emerging philologists from Armenia, the U.S., Russia, Turkey, and Germany.
The conference aimed to outline the future directions and priorities of Armenian philology for the next 5-10 years.
Recently, Norayr Poghosyan, secretary of the conference organizing committee, sent a letter of appreciation to National Library Director Anna Chulyan on behalf of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America. The letter expresses gratitude for the library’s active collaboration in organizing the event, publishing the proceedings, and ensuring their digital accessibility.
The collection is available in the National Library of Armenia’s digital repository: https://dspace.nla.am/handle/123456789/12955.
