The National Library of Armenia received many valuable and symbolic gifts on the occasion of its 105th anniversary. We present to you the first organization in a series of donors. Cooperation between the National Library of Armenia and the Mesrop Mashtots Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts “Matenadaran” has a long history. Probably many did not know this until 1959 but during the construction of the Matenadaran building on Mashtots Avenue the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts was temporarily located in the Tamanyan building of the National Library.

On the occasion of the founding day of the library, Matenadaran presented us with research works by Hayk Hambartsumyan, Lusine Tumanyan and Gor Yeranyan, as well as the 36th issue of the Banber Matenadaran magazine and the book A Selection of Photographs From the Collections of Matenadaran compiled by Ivet Tajarian.
