Japanese-born British author Kazuo Ishiguro's Booker Prize-winning novel "The Remains of the Day," which explores themes of love, loyalty, and dignity, was the most read book in Armenian public libraries in October. In the capital city Yerevan and the Armavir Regional Library, it is the most sought-after book.

As usual, library service indicators are directly impacted by the start of the academic year, which has taken its proper place in schools and universities. Raffi's "Memoirs of the Cross Thief," Derenik Demirchyan's "Vardanank," Hrant Matevosyan's "August," Gurgen Mahari's autobiographical novel "Blooming Barbed Wire," Paruyr Sevak's poetry, and other authors' works are among the most read authors and books. Avetik Isahakyan's 150th anniversary was celebrated in October, and there was a huge demand for his stories, fairy tales, legends, and poetry. Various events, both big and small, were held in libraries in honor of Isahakyan.

For several months, the late Russian author Anna Jane (real name Anna Nikolaevna Potapkina) has been recognized as one of the most sought-after writers. Her book "The Fan" is ranked fifth among the top ten. In Russia in 2023–2024, Anna Jane was the best-selling fiction writer. Books by Alex Michaelides, Erich Maria Remarque, Khaled Hosseini, Ruben Yesayan, and Ashot Aghababyan are also among the top ten most sought-after works.
