The top ten fiction books served by regional, city, and community libraries in December 2025 include more than 115 titles. One of William Shakespeare's most cherished plays, "Romeo and Juliet," is the most read book in Yerevan in December. Remarkably, "The Ancient Gods" by Levon Shant, another dramatic work, completes the top ten.
"Me Before You" by British author Jojo Moyes, "Through the Eyes of a Victim" by Israeli author Mike Omer, "The Fury" by British author Alex Michaelides, "The Bastard of Istanbul" by Turkish novelist Elif Shafak, and other novels are in the Top Ten. Books by Ashot Aghababyan, Aksel Bakunts, Vakhtang Ananyan, Anahit Sekoyan, Srbuhi Tyusab, Ruben Yesayan, Goethe, Stephen King, and Khaled Hossein are among the first issues on the lists of regional libraries.
In summary, the most popular writers in Armenian public libraries in 2025 are true-life novelist Ashot Aghababyan and horror and mystery writer Ruben Yesayan. Alex Michaelides, Khaled Hosseini, John Green, Elif Shafak, Agatha Christie, Nicholas Sparks, Anna Jane, and Gohar Navasardyan are among the top 10 writers of the year.
