Arakel Semirjyan considers his novel “Blue-Haired Kyores” to be a mirror image of Yeghishe Charents’ “Yerkir Nairi,” but blurred beyond recognition. “…What I felt from the depths of centuries was akin to what the poet felt during the years of losing his hometown…”. The hero of Jesah’s first book, “Anankendan” (Neither alive nor dead) struggles to find himself in the unfamiliar city of London. Grisha Sardaryan’s first book is a collection of essays titled “Esau.” “I will find Esau’s trace, even if I have to go back to the 19th century,” says the hero of the titular story. The novels written by modern authors indicated above have been translated and released in Romanian. The Romanian publishing house "Integral" managed to preserve the original composition in all three cases.

These books were published as part of the “Armenian Literature in Translations” program, supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Armenia and coordinated by the National Library of Armenia. Under this grant program, Gurgen Mahari’s “Burning Mountains,” Vahagn Grigoryan’s “River of Time,” Anush Sargsyan’s “Anon,” Grig’s “The Cat of Jesus,” Gurgen Khanjyan’s “The Eye of Enoch,” and Hovik Afyan’s “Red” were also translated into Romanian.
