Today's Cine Club meeting featured the film "Flanders" by French director Bruno Dumont. This movie takes viewers to a place where silence frequently speaks louder than words. The tale of Andre and Barbé's love devolves into a drama of suppressed emotions and internal conflict that persists in the brutal realities of war.

Dumont illustrates the duality of human nature by drawing a stark contrast between the tranquil countryside and the nameless horrors of war. In addition to being about war, the movie also explores the internal conflict that occurs when love, suffering, and violence sometimes mix together. "Flanders" was presented at the Cannes Film Festival and won the Grand Prix
