Within the framework of the Francophonie Bi-monthly, the National Library of Armenia will host the international conference “France-Armenia: Diplomatic and Intercultural Relations,” screenings of French films and literary presentations, as well as other events.
On March 6, the Francophonie Bi-monthly was launched at the library with a thematic exhibition titled “Armenian Translations of French Fiction.” Balasan Harutyunyan, Head of the Library’s Printing Museum, presented the exhibition and spoke about French writers, the displayed books, translations by the Mekhitarist Congregation, as well as the activities of Janik Aramyan, Mkrtich Portugalyan, and printing houses in Shushi.
The exhibition will be open until March 20. Hurry to see the thematic display of literature, featuring exclusive exhibits, including a facsimile of Voskan Yerevantsi’s letter to Louis XIV, Braille editions of works by Guy de Maupassant and Albert Camus, and more. The display includes both old and new editions of classic authors, books by contemporary writers, as well as series collections.
