At the initiative of the Cinema Club, a screening of The 400 Blows by French film director Francois Truffaut took place in the hall of the National Library of Armenia. The screening was attended by film lovers and fans of French cinema. Before the screening of the film, Garegin Zakoyan presented Truffaut’s films that brought him fame and success, emphasizing that The 400 Blows is considered a classic example of the French New Wave. This was Truffaut's first great success.
French director Francois Truffaut left a great cinematic legacy, the relevance of which will be recognized for generations. Truffaut is one of the classics of French cinema, whose thinking and worldview is addressed to our millennium. Viewers watched with great interest and enthusiasm the film The 400 Blows, which told the story of twelve-year-old Antoine Doinel, a classic example of a difficult teenager. Mom does not try to understand him and devotes little time and attention to him. Antoine's stepfather, due to his weak character, cannot ensure that his opinion is heard by either the woman or the boy, and the school teacher solves all the problems by punishing the boy.
The film club is organized by the public organization for the development of film culture “Filmadaran” with the support of the National Library of Armenia, the French Embassy in Armenia and the French Institute.
