The Cine Club Screened Bertrand Bonello’s “The Beast” Once again, film lovers gathered in the Great Hall of the National Library of Armenia to watch the remarkable and controversial film “The Beast” (2023) by French director Bertrand Bonello. The movie took viewers to the year 2044, a world where artificial intelligence has penetrated the deepest layers of human existence. The journey between the past and present lives of the main character, Gabrielle, played by Léa Seydoux, turned into a deep philosophical reflection on memory, emotions, fears, and identity.

The screening aroused great interest among the audience, becoming not only a platform for film viewing but also for reflection and discussion. The audience was particularly struck by Bonello's cinematic language, original aesthetic solutions, and critical perspective on the contemporary world. "The Beast" was presented within the framework of the program "Cinema Changes the World: France 1895-2026", which connects the historical heritage of French cinema and the most important achievements of modern cinema.

The Cine Club continues its important cultural mission by creating a unique environment for dialogue around cinema, art, and ideas at the National Library of Armenia. This project, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary, continues to unite film enthusiasts by showcasing important works of international cinema.
