The main event of the Armenian library year, the National Library Week, will be held from April 13-20 under the slogan "School Libraries in the Sphere of Innovation." Ahead of the week, at the initiative of the National Library of Armenia, the IFLA-UNESCO School Library Manifesto 2025 has been published in Armenian translation on the website of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).
"In a rapidly evolving information landscape, with emerging technologies generating new opportunities and challenges, the school library’s role in active collaborations for literacies, critical thinking, creativity, and global citizenship in inclusive and equitable education is more important than ever," stated the vision of the Manifesto.
The IFLA “Library Map of the World” section has updated the statistics of national, academic, and community libraries in Armenia for 2025. Information on the institutions responsible for the development of libraries in the Republic of Armenia, library legislation, and other organizations in the library and book sector will also be completed and updated soon.
