Take me with you on the long journey of your longing...We present the new book Zora by the contemporary Armenian writer, photographer and translator Anna Davtyan. Zora is a war novel set in post-war 2020. This is also a "detective" novel where the killer is known from the very beginning. Zora is a strange love story, the most terrible love story I have encountered in Armenian literature. Which doesn't read like a love story. The novel is a cry, the cry of Adam, but also a cry about the past and future, interrupted by war, the cry of Artsakh and the cry of the world in anticipation of global warming and nuclear winter. Death, Zora teaches us, is God's promise. The death star at the pinnacle of our lives. “This is an indescribable novel”, says editor Arthur Mirzoyan about the book.

The book was published with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the grant program “Support for Creators, Researchers and Translators”, coordinated by the Department of Literature Popularization of the National Library of Armenia. Contemporary Armenian writer, photographer and translator Anna Davtyan is the author of the novel Hannah (2020), the collection Bouquet (2023), the play Ship of Carnations for Hrant Dink, translated works by Allen Ginsberg, Alice Munro, Carolyn Forché, works by Richard Brautigan her translations received various literary awards.
