National Assembly summer school students visited the National Library of Armenia. They toured the Printing Museum, the Tamanyan section of the library, and the historical exhibition hall. A meeting with contemporary writers Mher Arshakyan, David Samvelyan, Armen Sargsyan, and Hamlet Arakelyan took place in the large hall of Tamanyan. This meeting made a great impression on high school students from Yerevan and the regions of Armenia participating in the Summer School. They had many questions for the writers. Despite the limited time, the conversation was lively and heartfelt.
The students were especially interested in the educational nature of the works, the language and style of contemporary writers, as well as the acceptability of slang and vulgarisms. The young people surprised the writers with their preparedness, organization, and knowledge.
The visit to the National Library was the first, but not the last for them, as many of them assured that they would become readers of the mother library while receiving university education.
