February is a month rich in books and literary gatherings. It began with the anniversaries of Vahan Teryan, Kostan Zarian, Hrant Matevosyan, and Ruben Sevak. In two days, it will be the birthday of the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan, which, since 2008, has been celebrated in Armenia as Book Giving Day. The National Library has planned a series of events on February 19, starting at 11:30 AM.

In anticipation of Book Giving Day, and on the day itself, many representatives of the book industry organize literary events. Recently, the National Library’s Reader Registration Department participated in the winter festival of Newmag Publishing House, offering visitors access to the library’s services and presenting its recent publications.

During the festival, dozens of new book lovers received reader cards, joining the library’s growing community. Meanwhile, visitors to the National Library’s "Poetic Booth" art installation had the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Western Armenian poetry.
