“I have been used to living the life of the theater for more than 22 years. Once, when I did not have a performance, I got sick” Violeta Gevorgyan. Today, the popular Armenian actress would have turned 80 years old. Violeta Gevorgyan began her creative career at the age of 24. She played about 20 roles at the Yerevan State Drama Theater named after Hrachya Ghaplanyan. However, Gevorgyan gained fame and recognition for her role as Agun in Artashes Oganesyan’s play Our Little Corner of the Big World based on Hrant Matevosyan’s novel Autumn Sun.

24 years after the performance in 2004 when Violeta Gevorgyan came to Armenia with the American theater troupe Tekeyan Artashes Oganesyan who had been keeping the scenery for many years hoped that one day Violeta Gevorgyan would come to Yerevan and play the role of Agun again. Therefore, he has once again presented the production Our Small Corner of the Big World.
