The exhibition of illustrated editions at the Tamanyan Small Exhibition Hall was organized for a public lecture “Fairy Tales in the Art of Martiros Saryan and his illustrations for Armenian fairy tales”.

Art curators from the National Gallery of Armenia Haykui Sahakyan and Seda Khanjyan pointed out the exceptional value of the exhibition at the National Library of Armenia. Seda Khanjyan, the daughter of a great artist Grigor Khanjyan, specialist on book art and design, noted that for the first time, she discovered many examples of book design, in particular, “Rain” by Axel Bakuts and Hakob Kojoyan, “Midday” by Gegham Saryan and Hovhannes Shavarsh. The exhibition worked at the library for more than a month. During this time, hundreds of visitors became familiar with the best examples of Armenian publishing art of the XX century.
